Vislink, the global provider of broadcast communications technologies, today announced the launch of a new 2.4m HD fully integrated antenna for its Newswift vehicle-mounted systems range.
The 2.4m HD antenna features full three-axis simultaneous motorisation and can be operational within five minutes. A highly customisable and lightweight antenna, the 2.4m Newswift can be specified as either a single or three piece carbon fibre reflector and is capable of being mounted on a wide range of SNG vehicles.
The new design of the 2.4m Newswift creates a lower profile than previous iterations when stowed away, requiring just 70cm of headroom. All internal components, including the power amplifiers and electronics, are sealed in the waterproof base close to the feed to minimise waveguide loss, making the unit suitable for use in any environment. The 2.4m Newswift is available as a C, Ku, Ka, or X band system, sporting field-changeable feed cartridges that provide greater flexibility to broadcasters around the world.
Ali Zarkesh, Product Development Director at Vislink said, “The 2.4m Newswift antenna has been developed to meet growing demand from the Africa, APAC and Americas regions for a larger vehicle mounted broadcast system. We have listened to our customers’ needs and created a larger motorised antenna version to help them react to the highly competitive broadcast and surveillance markets.”
Vislink’s Advent brand has been at the forefront of newsgathering and satellite technology for over 25 years. The company continues to develop its MSAT, FlyDrive and Newswift product ranges to meet the ever-changing requirements of today’s broadcasters.
Lumina Broadcast invites you to see 2.4m Advent Newswift antenna, or any other Vislink product, at NAB 7th – 10th April (booth #C6008).
