ROVER
Rover Instruments have been operating in the radio and television world since 1972, investing time and resources on technological developments and training of our staff. Situated in one of the most beautiful tourist locations in Italy, on Garda Lake, ROVER can be easily reached from Milan, Bergamo, Verona and Venice. The company operates with two business divisions, which implement the same basic technology, but develop products for different applications: measuring instruments for antenna installers and equipment for the distribution and monitoring of broadcasting networks. AVCOM
AVCOM of Virginia is a vertically integrated technology company with 40 years of experience in the design and manufacture of commercial high quality, spectrum analyzers and signal monitoring products, in the USA.
Founded in 1976, AVCOM initially provided the SATCOM industry with our PSR-3 Satellite Receiver. This product differentiated itself from the competition with its unique “Scan-Tune” functionality which allowed the receiver to be tuned back and forth across all transponders once every 3 seconds. AVCOM continued to develop and produce a variety of receivers and satellite accessories throughout the early 1980’s.
It’s the Scan-Tune functionality developed for the satellite receiver industry that set the stage for the first AVCOM spectrum analyzer product. In 1985, AVCOM developed a cost effective spectrum analyzer modeled after their high-end competitors, but without the extreme performance and much more affordable. The PSA-35 Spectrum Analyzer was introduced to the market at the 1986 Satellite Show in Las Vegas. Since then, AVCOM has continued to expand their product portfolio with remote, rack-mounted and portable spectrum analyzer solutions.

The FlexMon DVB-T Monitoring Digital Terrestrial Monitoring Receiver is the central part of the monitoring system. This unit receives and controls all data coming through the different unit inputs. Depending on your needs and your network set-up various input and output interfaces can be involved in the flexible monitoring strategies. In general all monitoring activities can be founded on two different sources. Transmitter RF-output, by using the internal DVB-T receivers and ASI Input stream, from distribution network to the transmitter.

The 4T2-Rack receiver monitoring instrument is the off-air variant of the 4T2-Rack demodulator. The systems are offering 4 slots that can be equipped with any combination of measurement hardware based on XTASI modules. Each input is analysed by one instance of the 4T2 Content-Analyser. Remote Control is achieved by implementing the DVB-SNMP interface to ensure seamless operation with third party network management software. The instruments are prepared to be integrated into a network with a Gbit-ethernet interface. Relay contacts are available for local alarming.

The RSA-2500B-SBS is the latest Avcom product designed from the ground up with the system integrator in mind. The compact design measures 5″” x 7″” so that it can easily be integrated into another piece of equipment, inside a small satellite terminal, or as an integral part of the satellite antenna itself. The single board design requires only external +15-24VDC/9W and a wideband input signal (950 MHZ to 2150 MHz) and is available with USB, Ethernet, and Serial communication ports.

The 4T2TM 2012 release integrates the latest processing platform with a 15.4″” 1400×900 screen, i7 quad-core processor, and SATA-3 SSD. All programs in the transport stream are decoded at the same time by the 4T2TM-Content-Analyser. This includes MPEG-4 H.264 high definition video material.
