ETL’s New Dextra L-band Splitter and Combiner Range

ETL has launched a new range of professional L-band Splitters and Combiners – Dextra – which offers excellent RF performance and a wide range of features including web enabled control and monitoring and redundant amplifiers (as an option) for resilience – all of which is achieved at a budget friendly cost.

 Market leading return losses and gain flatness are coupled with optional 1:1 redundant amplification and a wide range of remote system monitoring facilities via a web browser interface as standard. Configurable 0/13/18V LNB power is available at the input ports of the splitters while relay contact alarms provide for direct and simple control of external redundancy systems.

 High reliability in the system is ensured with the built-in dual redundant power supplies, coupled with the dual redundant amplification.

 LNB power is standard on all splitter models. This provides industry standard 13V or 18V DC as well as a 22kHz tone option. The supply is current limited to 800mA to prevent damage to any external equipment and both high and low current alarms may be configured as the user desires. Remote configuration and monitoring of the LNB supply is simple with the 100base-TX Ethernet port offering a web browser interface and SNMP.

 Simple LED status is displayed on the front panel for ease of setup and diagnosis, backed up by comprehensive information available over the Ethernet port and a front mounted RF monitor port. Whether the single amplifier or cold-standby dual-redundant amplifier option is purchased, high linearity and low noise figure are provided by all of the unity gain Dextra series units.

 The range covers 4-way and 8-way splitters and combiners in both single and dual configurations. 16-way splitters and combiners are available as single units. All are supplied in a compact 1RU case for space efficient rack mounting.

A comprehensive range of connectors is available, with different connectors at input and output available. This makes Dextra easy to fit into new or existing systems and can even offer 75/50Ω or 50/75Ω impedance transformation with no extra attenuation or loss of performance.
